The Long Road home...
I made it back to Denver on Sunday afternoon. One day later than planned. We stopped for the night in Wyoming. Brought back memories of seven years ago when my friend Cheryl and had to stop in the same town-but not by choice. That time we had to stay in the armory. This time I slept in a bed in a hotel.
It had started snowing not too far in to the wyoming border and since we knew Denver was about to get the biggest snowstorm of the year we thought it best to just stop and rest.
Since being back I have kinda taken what feels like a few steps backwards which is frustrating and disappointing but also realizing that I need to be okay with a slow process.
So instead of focusing on the hard stuff here are some things I am super thankful for today:
1. The sun in shining and the sky is brilliant blue.
2. Icicles are melting and keep clattering to the ground.
3. Ronda is staying for the week.
4. I have permission to take my time easing back into YWAM life.
5. My house is cozy and warm. (maybe even a little too warm!)
6. We made it safely here.
7. Dad's salmon is thawing in the fridge for dinner tonight!
...That's all for now.
